One MP4, delivered globally

The original movie lives in R2. A custom domain puts Cloudflare's CDN in front of the object, while Video.js provides the playback experience in the browser.

No transcoding, manifests, or Cloudflare Stream APIs: this is standard HTTP video delivery using a cacheable MP4.

Range requests fetch only the bytes needed

When a viewer jumps through the timeline, the player requests a byte interval. Cloudflare returns 206 Partial Contentand can serve repeated intervals directly from edge cache.

Faster seeking, less origin transfer, and no need to download the entire 533 MiB file.
